Man found dead after Crews extinguish Garage fire in Far Hills Drive Avon CT!!!

A body was found inside a house garage that caught on fire in Avon on Tuesday (04/12/2022) morning at around 7:40 AM. Firefighters responded and were quick to be on the spot at Far Hills Drive Avon CT early Tuesday morning on a report of a fire at the garage. The fire did not damage the main areas of the home which is situated at 43 far hills drive Avon ct.

The fire was contained in the garage area only and was successfully prevented from spreading to other areas of the property.



A body of an adult male in his mid thirties was found in the garage area after crews extinguished the flames. Officials indicated that he is not the homeowner of the property present at Far Hills Drive Avon CT. The man has been identified as Brent Rydin and his age is 35.

As indicated by the officials no one else was in the home at the time of the fire. The home was up for sale and no one else was present in the home during the fire.

An investigation into the fire and the man’s death is underway at the time of writing this article. The Avon Fire Marshal, State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Avon Police Department are investigating the matter. The residents of the home will not be able to return until the investigation at the property is finished. Anyone with information is asked to call Avon police at 860-409-4200.
