Connecticut is one of the most beautiful states in US and the aerial view in CT is absolutely breathe taking. Hence every one would love to have a drone and also would like to fly it to capture some of the best scenic views in the state. But flying a drone comes with lots of precaution to be taken care of. You need to be aware of those and need to ensure you follow those which are applicable to you.

Step 1 : First thing first, you need to register your drone in the FAA Drone Zone Website. Register your aircraft using this website if it weighs more than 0.55 lbs. (250 grams) and less than 55 lbs. (25 kg).

Step 2 : You must fly the drone within visual sight and the drone must be less than 55 pounds. Need to ensure that you are always able to view the drone and should be within your eye sight. If there is a huge mountain or a wall ensure that you fly it at a position from where you would be able to view the drone.

Step 3: Do not fly the drone near an airport. If you are flying within 5 miles of a airport then you could be in problem. The drone should be flown below 400 feet of height to be safe. You must fly your drone during the day or maximum within 30 minutes after sun set.

Step 4: This is something weird but your drone should not travel more than 100 miles per hour. Most of the available drones in the market do not fly at that speed hence this is something you should be less bothered about. But if it can go beyond 100 miles per hour you need to keep it below 100 miles per hour.

Step 5: You should fly the drone in a crowded place over the head of the people. For some unforeseen instance if the drone falls down this could be a huge problem. Hence ensure you do not fly the drone above the head of the people. Also you should not ideally fly the drone from a moving vehicle unless you are in a lightly populated area. But it’s advisable not to run the drone from a moving vehicle.
