Showing their Solidarity for the COVID 19 Frontline Warriors

During the COVID 19 pandemic, frontline warriors are the ones who are fighting the war with courage and conviction. CT residents are safe at their home and also feel safe while going out as these warriors play their role for the betterment of the humanity. Various businesses are showing their solidarity during this time of crisis and ensuring that we respect the work of the frontline workers.



From signs of gratitude to symbols of respect, to donations for PPE and masks, businesses are increasingly getting innovative is showing their gratitude. Here are some of the many businesses across CT who are showing their gratitude in their small way. This is just few of the ideas and there are many across the state.

Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge

To honor the thousands of health care workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Lamont directed the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge (known as the Q bridge locally because it spans the Quinnipiac River) in New Haven to be illuminated in red. It will remain lit in this fashion as long as the COVID-19 pandemic affects our state. This is a great visual delight as well.

Frog Bridge, Windham

If you are traveling on Route 32 going in to or out of Willimantic you will see large homemade masks with red hearts gracing four huge frogs on Thread City Crossing Bridge.

Matthew Vertefeuille, Willimantic public information officer, wanted to encourage people to wear face coverings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Marriot in Stamford:

Marriott showing some ❤️ for the heroes in Stamford. The love is directed to all the health care workers & first responders & can be seen from Stamford Hospital where the front line warriors are fighting every day and night.

Mystic Aquarium:

In honor of those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mystic Aquarium has illuminated its iconic façade in red and white. The lights are a show of solidarity for the emergency workers who are providing treatment to those infected with the virus. Though mystic aquarium is closed now from public still they are not behind in standing behind the warriors.

Hilton Hotel in Hartford:





As a moving gesture for the whole city to see, Hartford’s Hilton Hotel displayed a red heart in its windows to show respect for healthcare works in the city. Hartford Hospital warriors have been on the forefront this pandemic and there are many businesses including Stop and Shop have come ahead for their support. Stop and shop provided essential items to the warriors are the mark of respect.
