Parkville Marketplace in Hartford, CT celebrates local food and the local cultures. It is the first food hall in Connecticut and is housed in the Former Capitol City Lumber Co. In Parkville, there is a huge Hispanic and Latino American population which is reflected in its vendors. It has about four Hispanic and Latino restaurants. It has a Brazilian restaurant, which is a huge culture that they see in the Parkville neighborhood. They also have Indian and Nepalese food options in the Market. It also has an Italian food option. Even they have a barbecue with a New England flair. Even they are the place where the superfood truck of Connecticut has its first brick and mortar store.

History:
Connecticut’s first food hall. They are located in the former capitol city lumber co. Building in Parkville, one of Hartford’s most upcoming neighborhoods. Parkville, a Hartford neighborhood, was once a manufacturing and innovation hub, home to several major factories such as Pope Production, Columbia Bicycle, the Underwood and Royal Typewriters, the Gray Telephone Pay Station, and others.
It now houses some of Hartford’s most innovative businesses, including Real Art Ways, Hog River Brewing, DesignSourceCT, reSET, Pine & Axe AxeThrowing, HARDENCO (local denim company), and Hartford Flavor Company. The neighborhood is a true community with an authentic spirit of entrepreneurship and collaboration that is unmistakably influenced by the area’s rich history.
