Duck Duck Goose : Downtown Stamford Unveils Vibrant Outdoor Summer Sculpture Exhibit
In the coming months, individuals strolling or driving through downtown Stamford may notice the arrival of some new guests. Stamford Downtown is commencing its outdoor summer sculpture exhibit, featuring 24 fiberglass ducks and one goose, strategically placed across the downtown area.

Starting from approximately June 12, the goose will be concealed in various locations throughout Stamford. Visitors are encouraged to download the Otocast app on their smartphones or follow Stamford Downtown on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to access clues about the goose’s whereabouts. By visiting five or more ducks, participants can engage in the hunt for the elusive goose.

These fiberglass structures have been transformed into captivating works of art by twenty-five talented artists, displaying a blend of creativity and humor. For instance, there is a ROBBER Duck dressed in a prisoner’s outfit, a PeKING duck adorned with a crown, and Duckmingo, a duck cleverly disguised as a flamingo, among others.
The Otocast app provides a complimentary audio tour featuring an interactive map, photographs, artist narratives, and details about downtown Stamford’s restaurants.

Once the exhibit concludes in September, the sculptures will be renovated and put up for auction, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.
Sponsored by Reckson, this exhibit is a part of Stamford Downtown’s Art in Public Places program, which is celebrating its 30th year.
Last year, downtown saw the installation of animal topiaries.
