CT Free Museums 2022 is here and it is back again this summer. After so many people got the benefit of this event last year it’s back again. Children in Connecticut ages 18 and under plus one accompanying adult can visit most of the Museums and Attractions in CT for Free. In this article, we have covered some of the most amazing Zoos in CT and Aquariums in CT which you can go to for Free.
Here are the rules:
– Participating adults and kids must be residents of CT to avail this facility
– CT driver’s license or proof of residency may be required in most of these locations
– Some places on this list require advance online registration and you need to check those before reaching there
– This program is geared toward families, not large groups, camps, or parties; hence, you need to adhere to that.
4. Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, Mystic:
Since 1946, the Nature Center on Pequotsepos Road has allowed visitors and the greater Mystic community to experience nature firsthand, whether on the more than 10 miles of trails owned by the Denison Homestead and Avalonia Land Conservancy, exploring their natural history exhibits, or participating in one of their many programs for all ages. The addition of the Coogan Farm property to their cultural landscape in 2013 added layers of education, history, and ecology. The DPNC added a Meditation Walking Path to the trails in 2021. Stations along the trail offer walkers a quiet place to reflect or meditate. This is one of the best zoos in CT.

3. Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, Bridgeport:
The Beardsley Zoo in Connecticut is a great place to visit, whether alone or with your family. Spend an hour or the entire day seeing more than 300 animals, mostly from North and South America in Beardsley Park in Bridgeport CT. Learn about the Amur (Siberian) tiger, Andean condor, Ocelot, Red wolf, Maned wolf, and Golden lion tamarin, among other endangered and threatened species. 2. Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk:
The Maritime Aquarium provides visitors with a glimpse into Long Island Sound, an estuary of national significance, and a veritable rainforest of aquatic life. Since prehistoric times, this extraordinary ecosystem has supported the region’s economy and culture. They have 75 live exhibits with nearly 7,000 animals from 363 different species. Your journey through Long Island Sound begins with a freshwater river and the shallow waters of a salt marsh, then progresses into deeper and deeper habitats until you reach the open ocean. Feed a ray, see the only spotted seals in the continental US, watch a California sea lion display, see African penguin chicks, and more! Every ticket purchased contributes to its mission of inspiring people to care for and protect their ocean planet through conservation, education, and research. As part of the CT Summer at Museum program, Connecticut children (18 and under) receive free general admission. One accompanying adult is admitted free with the purchase of a ticket.
