How it all started at Wicked Tulips Preston CT:
EcoTulips was the name of their first blooming business. It all started in 2009, when Keriann, a self-described “green girl,” met Jeroen Koeman, who came from a tulip-growing family in the Netherlands. They met, fell in love, married, and founded EcoTulips LLC. They relocated from Central Virginia to Rhode Island in September 2015 to begin their new venture, Wicked Tulips Flower Farm. In 2018, the couple decided to merge EcoTulips.com and Wicked Tulips Flower Farm to simplify things. They now sell all of their items under the Wicked Tulips brand. Keriann is a native New Englander, so the proximity to family, coupled with the colder climate, made Rhode Island ideal for establishing a tulip farm in the United States, a long-held dream of Jeroen’s.
