Road Trips in CT : Route 156 – Old Lyme to Niantic
Road trips have always been the most revered outdoor activity in summer and more so during the month of July. The trip starts from Old Lymeand ends at Niantic. This 14-mile trip is a small and refreshing trip that you can plan during the weekdays as well.
1. Rocky Neck:
Rocky Neck State Park is a public recreation area situated on Long Island Sound in the town of East Lyme, Connecticut. This park boasts a tidal river, a broad salt marsh, white sand beaches, rocky shores. A large stone pavilion dating from the 1930s can be seen here. It is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

2. The Book Barn at Niantic :
If you love books you are surely going to love this unique book store in CT. Many of the books are donated by people from CT and you will find some of the vintage books which you may never find anywhere else at this book store. The Book Barn stores are open from 9am to 9pm every day of the week.

They buy used books for store credit every day. The entire inventory is made up of books that other people have either donated or sold. The mystery and thriller section books over here are the most famous and many people love the mystery and thriller section of this book store.
